I wouldn't want to hazard a guess as to the hell the men faced as those landing craft made their way to the beaches. Or what it must have been like huddle in a trench as the chemical bombs rained, Your last act on earth was to struggle w/ your gas mask only to find it was clogged w/ mud. Peace for the world is my prayer today.
